Bustling with devotees, its air filled with the sweet smell of incense sticks and clanging of temple bells, the city of Haridwar at the foothills of the Himalayas, is one of Hinduism’s holiest destinations.It sees thousands of people taking a dip in the holy waters of River Ganges, which emerges from the Himalayas here. Devotees, sadhus (saffron-clad men) and saints throng the river’s ghats (stepped banks), to take a dip in its sacred waters and, according to Hindu beliefs, wash away their sins.
Evening visit Har-Ki-Pauri to bath or witness evening Aarti – The most spectacular and spiritual ritual of Haridwar.

Morning: Excursion to Rishikesh
Visit Lakshman Jhoola is one of the main religious attractions in Rishikesh. It is a suspension bridge across the River Ganga. Devotees believe that Lakshman, the brother of Lord Rama, had once crossed the river with the help of a jute-rope bridge on the same spot. Continue to visit Bharat Temple is an ancient temple founded by Adiguru Shankaracharya in the 12th century. One of the oldest temples in Rishikesh, it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu - the supreme god as per Hindu mythology. Visit Trayambakeshvar Temple, a holy shrine dedicated to the three-eyed Lord Shiva, is one of the most famous temples in Rishikesh. The temple is located in close vicinity to Lakshman Jhoola and stands 13-storeys high along the banks of River Ganga.
Evening: Aarti Ceremony at Triveni Ghat.
Triveni Ghat is a sacred ghat in Rishikesh famous for the Ganga Aarti. Triveni words comes from join of two words Tri (three) and Veni (confluence) meaning confluence of three. It is one of the biggest and must visit ghat of Rishikesh known for its auspicious and spiritual aroma.

Full day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. This fascinating city has been in existence since the 6th century BC and has seen ups and downs from the rule of the Pandavas right up to the British Raj. Visit Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in India, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. The courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers. Enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, the busiest market in Old Delhi…noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian. You will then drive pastRed Fort, which was constructed during the rule of Emperor Shah Jahan and served as the residence for the Mughal royal family. It continues to be significant till date, as every Independence Day, the Prime Minister makes a speech from its ramparts as the Indian flag is hoisted. Later, drive pastIndia Gate, President House and several other government buildings in Edwin Lutyen’s Delhi. Thereafter, visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. It was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent where the Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale. Later in the evening visit Qutab Minar, which is the tallest brick minaret in the world; it was commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi.

DAY 6 DELHI – AGRA (approx. 210 km / 4hrs)

Morning drive to Agra

Agra is the city of the Taj Mahal and capital of the erstwhile Mughal Empire. Agra is also the gateway to the legendary Braj region, the land of Lord Krishna. Agra is also home to one of 7 wonders of the World and UNESCO World Heritage site.
Afternoon visit Agra Fort, which was commissioned in 1565 by The Mughal Emperor, Akbar. You will come across Diwan-i-Am or the Hall of Public Audience. This hall with numerous pillars is said to be erected by Shah Jahan in the year 1628. Followed by evening visit Taj Mahal… a mausoleum built as a symbol of Emperor Shah Jehan’s devotion to his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. Considered an architectural marvel, its construction took thousands of workers over 21 years to complete.

DAY 7 AGRA – JAIPUR (approx. 240 km / 4hrs)

Morning drive to Jaipur en-route you will be visiting Fatehpur Sikri. This town was built by the Mughal Emperor, Akbar. He had planned this city as his capital, but shortage of water compelled him to abandon the city. After this, within 20 years, the capital of Mughals was shifted to Lahore. Fatehpur Sikri was built during 1571 and 1585. Today this ghost city has a population of about 30,000. This deserted city has retained many of the old structures, because of the efforts of the Archaeological department. Fatehpur Sikri is one of the finest examples of Mughal architectural splendor at its height.

JAIPUR
Commonly known as Pink City and it is founded in AD 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is popularly known as the Pink City. With broad avenues and spacious gardens, the city is steeped in history and culture. Here the past comes alive in magnificent forts and palaces, blushed pink, where once lived the maharajas. The bustling bazaars of Jaipur, famous for Rajasthan jewellery, fabric and shoes, possess a timeless quality and are a treasure-trove for the shoppers.
Evening takes a stroll in markets of Jaipur for the traditional dresses, shoes, curio shops, blue pottery etc.

DAY 8 JAIPUR

Morning proceeds for full-day sightseeing trip of Jaipur, also known as the ‘Pink City’. The city of Jaipur is the capital to the state of Rajasthan, famous for its colorful culture, forts, palaces, and lakes. Jaipur owes its name to the founder of the city, warrior king Sawai Jai Singh II. Visit the Amber Fort (Elephant / Jeep ride). The best way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on Elephant back. Prominent structures inside the fort are the Diwan-i-Aam, adorned with latticed galleries, the Ganesh Pol, with a beautiful painted image of Lord Ganesh, and the stunning Sheesh Mahal, a hall decorated with thousands of tiny mirrors. Enroute photo stop at the beautiful Hawa Mahal, also known as “Palace of the Winds.” This beautiful façade with its ornately carved latticework windows was designed so the ladies of the palace could look out onto the streets unobserved. Later you will visit the City Palace… again, a synthesis of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. The museums here showcase rare and ancient manuscripts, arms dating back to the 15th century, and costumes of erstwhile royalty. Lastly, visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, comprising geometric devices for measuring time, and tracking stars in their orbits.
DAY 9 JAIPUR – DEPART DELHI (approx. 260 km / 5 hrs)
